5 Reasons Boost Mobile Is Perfect for Amazon

Acquiring the telecom company could bolster Prime memberships and privacy compliance

Amazon reportedly has its eye on Boost Mobile, the pay-as-you-go carrier that T-Mobile and Sprint have promised to divest themselves of to assuage concerns that their merger would result in a monopoly.

Citing sources familiar with the matter, Reuters said Amazon is interested in taking Boost off the other carriers’ hands, because Amazon could then use the combined entities’ wireless network for at least six years, which, Federal Communications Commission Chairman Ajit Pai said, will include a 5G network that covers 97% of the U.S.
