The 2017 AT&T NABC Guardians of the Game Award Show Will Be Livestreamed on Twitter

The staple of Final Four weekend will tip off at 6:30 p.m. ET Sunday, April 2

Twitter is teaming up with the National Association of Basketball Coaches and multimedia rights partner IMG to livestream the 2017 AT&T NABC Guardians of the Game Award Show.

The event, a staple of the NCAA Men’s Division I Basketball Championship tournament’s Final Four weekend, will take place Sunday, April 2—the national semifinals will be played the night before, and the champion will be determined the following night.

The livestream will be accessible free-of-charge to logged-in and logged-out U.S. Twitter users starting at 6:30 p.m. ET via or @NABC1927.

The event will be hosted by Allie LaForce, and awards will be presented for players and coaches of the year in all NCAA divisions, as well as the Pete Newell Big Man of the Year, the NABC Defensive Player of the Year and the NABC Freshman of the Year.

IMG’s original content team will produce the livestream, which will include advertising packages with television-style spots.

Twitter chief operating officer Anthony Noto said in a release announcing the agreement:

College basketball conversation unfolds live on Twitter, especially during March Madness. Our collaboration with NABC brings the live stream of the AT&T Guardians of the Game Awards Show to our passionate basketball audience and serves as a celebration of the game’s best during the Final Four.

NABC executive director Jim Haney added:

We are pleased to work alongside Twitter and IMG to showcase the AT&T NABC Guardians of the Game Awards Show for college basketball fans online. Together, we will celebrate the positive impact that coaches have on college basketball student-athletes and honor the achievements of players across all divisions of the collegiate game.
