New York Times Wins 3 ONA Journalism Awards

Starting with a nod for its Transgender Today community page.

A wide array of impressive and meaningful journalism was honored Saturday night at ONA’s 2015 Online Journalism Awards banquet in Los Angeles. Leading the way with three prizes was The New York Times, which won for Online Commentary – Large,  Tech Innovation in the Service of Digital Journalism (The Gannett Foundation Award) and Sports – Large. Close behind with two each were the Baltimore Sun, Quartz, NPR, the Texas Tribune and the Center for Public Integrity.

This being an awards show, there was also the usual lively real-time Twitter banter, from journalists in the room and others watching via live-stream.
