1 in 10 Pets Own a Profile Page on the Internet

As a matter of fact in the U.K., 1 in 10 pets have their own profile on Facebook, Twitter or YouTube. This figure is based on a study commissioned by a pet insurance company called PetPlan. The results of the study indicate that well over half of the pet owners in the U.K. are uploading and sharing videos or photos of their pet(s) on the internet.

What I am about to tell you may not come as a surprise because you love your cute little pets just as much as the other animal lover does, if not more. A recent study in the United Kingdom substantiated the fact that we love to show off and share our cute little pets through the social media.

They are even diversifying and creating online web pages as profiles for their pets. With that said, PetPlan director Neil Brettell proclaims that animals on social networking sites are even more popular than celebrities.

If you do your math correctly, there are definitely more pets in this world than celebrities. Since pets are trendier, we definitely know what topic to use for our next website, and it’s not celebrity sightings.

All due respect, we are seeing more and more cute pets uploading on YouTube and other social networking platforms. Pets with profiles go back to the scrapbook days; it’s really nothing new. We just want to share our love for our pets because they mean so much to us, and they never let us down.
