Soy is a central ingredient in countless food items, but industrial-level soy cultivation has a heavy ecological impact. With the industry booming, downsides like depleted soil, erosion and water contamination require immediate solutions both for farmers and consumers.

With a more sustainable soy industry in mind, Upfield’s Country Crock has teamed with agency Ogilvy to raise awareness around the ecologically-minded Cover Crop Project. Seeking to extol the environmental benefits of planting unharvested cover crops between harvests, this initiative is leaning into the widely-shared love of a good glass of whiskey to share its findings.
