In Adweek this week, Charlie Warzel writes about We the People, the online petition site that lets anyone propose an idea to the White House—which is obliged to respond to suggestions that get 25,000 signatures within 30 days. The model, of course, is tailor-made for pranksters—particularly, it seems, those with outlandish sci-fi dreams. Charlie mentions the petition to build a working replica of the Starship Enterprise from Star Trek. Now, it seems, someone else has proposed building a Death Star like the one from Star Wars.
