Twisted Sister song is 99 percent effective

The birth-control pill known as Yaz has already riled up Boston Red Sox fans of a certain era. Now, it’s destined to upset glam-rock fans by using a cover version of Twisted Sister’s “We’re Not Gonna Take It” in this TV commercial. (The women in the ad are gonna take the pill, but they’re not gonna take PMS symptoms like irritability, moodiness, bloating and anxiety.) Dee Snyder and company are not too protective of their most famous tune, having already sold it to Sprite for an earlier commercial. And though it’s hard to imagine, the song was also apparently used in the movie Charlotte’s Web (and in promos for the same). It was probably too obvious for Yaz to use a Yaz song.
