We just came across the Web site of a guy who says he prints thousands of speech-bubble stickers, plasters them on outdoor ads in New York and then photographs the ads once they’ve been defaced. (To see the photos, click on one of the categories and then use the arrows at the bottom to scroll through.) The whole thing seems suspect—I’ve never seen these speech bubbles around the city, and many of the defaced ads look like Photoshop jobs.
