Surfing Legend Lisa Andersen Ascends a Mountain of a Wave in Mother’s Final Work for No7

The beauty brand shifted to Ogilvy last year

Beauty is about much more than youth and appearance.

That’s the message cosmetics brand No7 has conveyed with its ongoing “Ready” campaign, highlighting the stories of women who have defied the odds to achieve long-term success in their respective fields.

In the past, spokespeople have included 53-year-old ballerina Alessandra Ferri—and the latest edition of the campaign spotlights world surfing champion Lisa Andersen.

Not only did Andersen win every major title in surfing as a single mother, but she also helped break down barriers in a sport that had previously been dominated by men. And at 49, she serves as an inspirational figure for those seeking the “‘age-defying’ spirit” that happens to be No7’s key selling point.

This campaign is also notable for being the last from Mother London, No7’s agency of record for more than five years.

Mother lost the account when the brand’s parent company, Walgreens Boots Alliance, consolidated its marketing business with WPP early last year. Ogilvy will now be lead creative agency on the account, though there’s no indication the shop will abandon the “Ready” campaign first launched by Mother in 2016.
