Sprint helps you strip…for some reason

Headshot of David Griner

Sprint has commissioned Jun Group to make some new “time-saving” viral spots,
some of which are are up on YouTube right now. The three new spots are an
attempt to reach peer-to-peer networkers and, apparently, show them how to undress quicker (are the time constraints on removing one’s
shirt that much of a problem, really?). They also offer tips on chilling soda and a flashy, if impractical, approach to parallel parking. None of these spots establishes more than a tenuous
link to Sprint (ditto for the microsite, waitless.org). Maybe the concept of
the message got lost in the thrill of making some funny videos to circulate around
the webernets. Besides, YouTube is full of total idiots who probably cant tie
their own shoes anyway, so Sprints approach might just work.
