Up-and-coming novelist Jeff Somers is, by his own admission, a lazy drunk. But he still managed to cobble together an engaging Web site for his newest book, The Digital Plague. It’s both a promotional tool and an excuse to offer tertiary exposition, as seen through the frantic message-board postings of people who’ve caught whatever disease is rampaging through the book.
