The Film Lions may not be the absolutely pinnacle of the Cannes festival, as they once were, but the Film Grand Prix is still very much a marquee award. It’s one of the centerpieces of the Saturday evening award show, and the screening of the Film (and Film Craft) winners remains one of the most enjoyable events of the week.
