Ryan Reynolds Struts Into the Westminster Dog Show With Aviation Gin Partnership

His newest video introduces the event's signature cocktail

The Kentucky Derby has the mint julep, but how many other events have a signature cocktail? Well now you can add the Westminster Dog Show to that short list.

Ryan Reynolds today announced his spirits brand, Aviation Gin, is partnering with the dog show, for which his team has created a new drink: The Sensation.

But given that it’s Reynolds, one of today’s savviest marketers, obviously he had to create a ridiculous video to accompany the news:

Here’s the recipe created by the brand:

The Sensation Cocktail
2 oz. Aviation Gin
¾ oz. lemon juice
¾ oz. simple syrup
5 muddled blackberries
Garnish with a lemon peel

The video was created by the content studio co-founded by Reynolds, Maximum Effort, along with  frequent production partner Escape Velocity.

The team behind the new video, posted to Reynolds’ social channels today, most notably created the wildly popular sendup of Peloton’s holiday ad, resulting in a satirical sequel of sorts that Adweek named one of the best ads of 2019.

Most recently, Reynolds leveraged the excitement around Super Bowl ads by skipping the $5 million price tag of a Big Game spot in favor of just giving away $5 million worth of free service on Mint Mobile, which he acquired in 2019.
