Sometimes the PR materials we get are worth reprinting in their entirety. For example, the caption accompanying this photo, which just arrived in our inbox: “U.S. Postmaster General John Potter introduces Vonzell Solomon, former U.S. postal worker and American Idol finalist, at the special tree-lighting ceremony at ‘The Pond’ at Bryant Park, flanked by Royal Canadian Mounties. The 55-foot-tall, 8-ton tree, from the ‘Balsam Fir Christmas Tree Capital of the World,’ Lunenburg, Nova Scotia, was provided by the Canadian Tourism Commission.”
