Patron saint of 'image is everything' dies

If image is everything, then no one understood the concept better than Vincent “Chin” Gigante, who died on Sunday at the age of 77 in the United States Medical Center for Federal Prisoners in Springfield, Mo. If you’re not familiar, Gigante, who was eventually found to be one of the major Mafia leaders of the 1980s and 1990s, decided to start acting like a mentally deranged man in the mid-1960s to avoid prosecution.
