Fate's mysterious vendetta against my hometown Baltimore Orioles has claimed another victim in hotshot pitcher Brad Bergesen, who injured himself in December filming an ad for his team. It emerged this week that Bergesen strained his right shoulder shooting the spot, which was his first time throwing a ball since recovering from a leg injury last July. Bergesen says he's "kicking [him]self in the head about it." Not with the bad leg, we hope. Big League Stew compares the incident to Michael Jackson's hair catching on fire during the infamous Pepsi shoot, though obviously that's a really dumb comparison.
