This Wieden + Kennedy spot for Nike, airing in Japan, anticipates the U.S. pitching debut of Daisuke Matsuzaka, who takes the mound today in Kansas City for the Boston Red Sox. The ad’s called “Enjoy the Pressure,” and it certainly captures the hyper-charged, media-driven world of stateside professional sports. It even features Wally, the Sox’s thoroughly annoying Green Monster mascot. Wally shouldn’t faze Dice-K, as Japan has long stared down a far more impressive green beast.
