Netflix asked real witches to tap into their magical powers and make predictions about the new season of its popular fantasy drama The Witcher.
The Witcher follows the adventures of Geralt of Rivia, a mutant monster hunter. In keeping with the magical theme of the show, Netflix challenged three local witches in Romania to use magic to predict season two ahead of its premiere in the country last month.
Season of The Witch(er)
Netflix chose Romania as the setting of the stunt because of its national folklore, which involves tales about Transylvanian vampires, buried giants and traditional good-luck spells.
The streaming powerhouse selected three renowned witches named Casanndra, Aranka and Crina.
