Nerds rejoice over terrible tech advertising

This list of the Top 10 Shockingly Bad Tech Ads couldn’t have come at a better time. I’m about ready to throw my laptop out the window, and I needed a reminder that things could be/were a lot worse. The Commodore 64 might as well sit behind glass in the British Museum with the rest of the fossils at this point, alongside anything made before the Pentium chip. Also notable is the amount of times bad rapping and anti-piracy messages elbow their way into tech marketing. “Don’t Copy That Floppy” even combines them for nine minutes of my life that I’d like back, if only to kill myself. But while the war against piracy has plunged into new sub-basements of absurdity, the computer industry has learned to drop science with product updates instead of microphones and drum loops.
