This Pepto-Bismol ad, with the gastrically aggrieved monsters, has been out for a while, but USA Today has finally subjected its Ad Tracker guinea pigs to it. Of course, 22 percent of them hated it (the preferred phrasing is “disliked it a lot”), although that’s only 9 percent more than the poll’s typical hated-it vote. Pepto’s brand manager stick by the ad, telling the paper that the “nausea, heartburn, indigestion, upset stomach, diarrhea” song just “rolls off your tongue” and “gets ingrained in your head.”
