M&M’s get bigger and bigger

As we speak, Masterfoods is unveiling a new product, Mega M&M’s, at an event at Grand Central Terminal featuring John O’Hurley, best known as J. Peterman from Seinfeld. According to the Masterfoods release, these enormous new candies are “on average 55 percent bigger in size than original M&M’s and come in six new hues that appeal to adults: maroon, teal, blue-gray, beige, gold and brown.” (I guess as we get older, we begin to turn against primary colors.) There’s also an extensive online component to the launch—the “M&M’s Mega Development Laboratory,” which “gives a behind-the-scenes look at a team of experts who created Mega M&M’s and chose the size and color scheme for the new product, along with all their mishaps.” Amid all this wackiness, check out the humorous interviews with the “scientists.”
