Microsoft Takes a Stand Against Stealthy Creeps at the Office

Muddled video battles counterfeit software

Consider yourself on notice: If you buy a counterfeit copy of Microsoft Office, your small business could end up infested by bodysuit-wearing creepers. That's about as much as I can glean from this odd video that Microsoft created to raise awareness of … something. Piracy? Spyware? Identity theft? It's a bafflingly complicated metaphor for what should be a simple message: Don't try to cheap out and buy unlicensed software. Instead, we get some kind of silent performance art. As one YouTube commenter noted, "If this video has taught me one thing it is that redheaded women are a lot hotter than non redheaded women." For the record, that's actress Amy Walker, whose "21 Accents" video has been viewed more than 7 million times. Glad I could help you learn something from this boondoggle.
