Killer campaigns you probably missed in ’09

Just when you thought all the 2009 wrap-ups were behind us, here's one that's still worth a look. Osocio, the blog that covers nonprofit advertising, has compiled its top 10 socially minded campaigns from 2009, and chances are you missed most (if not all) of them when they ran. Pictured above is my favorite, "B'eau Pal," a toxic bottled water from Bhopal, India. "The unique qualities of our water come from 25 years of slow-leaching toxins at the site of the world's largest industrial accident," says the label, created by activists intent on getting Dow Chemical to clean up lingering pollution in Bhopal. Thousands were killed there in 1984 when a pesticide plant spewed toxic gas into the air. Osocio's bloggers are in the process of determining the best of the best from 2009. With so much powerful work to pick from, it's hard to blame them for dragging the decision out into 2010.
