How to find out what you’re really worth

A ghost, a holy grilled-cheese sandwich, and now an advertising team?

In an auction on eBay that was bound to happen, a group of displaced PeopleSoft employees have put their creative services up for sale, after the Oracle takeover left them without jobs.

"Take advantage of recent merger and acquisition activity in the technology sector,” the auction reads. “Their loss, your gain. An award-winning, clear-thinking, bottom-line-focused creative services organization is now immediately available to rock your bottom line. We are a creative team that’s ready to plug and play. Today.”

By Friday morning, the team (eBay Item Number: 3868319541) was going for $31 and had three bids.

Employment terms and salaries will be negotiated individually, the auction warns.

The eBay stunt was meant to highlight a group of creative people who like working together so much that they want to find a way to continue their successful teamwork, said Janna Thomas, acting spokeswoman for the team.
