In the 2000s, we have terrorism. In the ’90s, we had gangsta rap. In the ’80s, we had AIDS. And in the ’70s, the thing that scared us the most was … women drivers. This ridiculous ad premiered during the first-ever Monday Night Football broadcast, so people actually saw it. Like, a lot of people, all at once. You can’t blame the woman for having to detour through an unpaved road, so the ad doesn’t even explain how Goodyear tires protect against bad driving.
