CANNES, France—Tali Gumbiner and Lizzie Wilson, the young creative team at McCann New York who made Fearless Girl, are at Cannes Lions for the first time. And as expected, it’s been a bit of a crazy week for them.
Their State Street Global Advisors statue, easily the most breakthrough pop-culture icon to emerge from advertising this year, has been fully embraced by the Cannes judges, too. She won three Grand Prix on her very first day here, and has collected a slew of other Lions as well.
