The Covid-19 pandemic has killed more than 4.8 million people around the world, leaving countless people grieving for lost friends and family. Yet no matter how widespread the experience is, those experiencing bereavement often still feel confused and isolated.

A PSA from creative production studio Someplace Nice for the organization Bereaved Families of Ontario hopes to make it easier for people to share their emotions. The 45-second “It’s Normal” spot was shot during the Covid-19 lockdown with an actor and his actual partner, bringing authenticity to the full range of feelings of a young man dealing with the loss of a loved one.
