Disney Characters Invade Star Wars in This Applause-Worthy Trailer Mashup

It works almost too well

While it's understandable to bemoan the Disney-fication of Star Wars, here's one time we're willing to let it slide.

YouTube comedy creators PistolShrimps have made a stellar mashup of the trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens featuring a bevy of animated characters from Disney films.

Yeah, I know. That sounds kinda dumb. But thanks to some slick 3-D work from animator Andreas Næs, the final product is both hilarious and impressive.

The animator can't take all the credit, though. Some of the best moments are the most subtle, like when a James Earl Jones line as King Mufasa is used in place of his Darth Vader breathing.
