Before he was roasting presidents at White House correspondents’ dinners, and before he had his own TV show, Stephen Colbert co-wrote and co-starred in Strangers With Candy, the weirdly funny Comedy Central series featuring Amy Sedaris as a 46-year-old high-school freshman. A movie version, actually a prequel to the TV show, was completed in 2004 but languished without a distributor for some time.
