DTC shaving brand Billie has spent years working to break taboos about body hair, pointing out its strange absence in most shaving commercials and attempting to run paid ads on Facebook and Instagram that were rejected as “adult material” for showing hair peeking out of bathing suits. A new “Rules of Body Hair” campaign points out just how arbitrary those rules are, encouraging young people to reject them and the shame that they cause.

“We’ve always sought to normalize body hair and reinforce that what you do with it is your choice,” Billie co-founder Georgina Gooley said in a statement.
