If Bill Richardson’s presidential campaign ever shifts into high gear, let’s hope this goofy Western-themed ad he made as governor of New Mexico never surfaces. Not because of sleaze or truth-bending, but because it’s so damn corny. Richardson struts through every overdone Western cliché there is, even allowing himself to yell, “Head them off at the pass!” Hedley Lamarr would have shot him in the foot for that. In his defense, I’d use any avenue available to brag about shutting down over 400 meth labs in my state.
