We may not get the chance to walk on Mars within our lifetimes, but technology has advanced far enough that we can realistically recreate how it might feel to do so. If anyone has spent a lot of time thinking about what strolling across Mars’ surface might be like, it’s four-mission veteran astronaut Scott Kelly.
