I’m  not exactly sure why, but American Airlines’ American Way magazine has seen fit to weigh in on its “40 greatest Super Bowl ads of all time.” Topping the list? Apple’s “1984”, naturally. But some other choices, leave me—well—surprised. At No. 2, Monster.com’s 1999 spot featuring children with mediocre ambitions? At No. 4, the EDS spot showing cowboys herding cats? (I mean, they were both funny, but …) Well, that’s the beauty of these lists … you can debate them until the cats, er, cows come home.
