Barker - "Last Minute Gifter" This New York indie agency launched a "Last Minute Gifter" microsite for those who put off buying for the office gift exchange until the last possible second. To reveal the perfect gift for your assigned Secret Santa, just answer a few questions. The gifts all allow for Amazon Prime one-day shipping, so you'll receive the gift before the holiday out-of-office replies hit. CooperKatz - "#CKSpreadTheJoy" The employees of PR agency CooperKatz react to their favorite videos and trends of 2017 in the video below. "From bats in Irish houses, to BBC News interviews, fidget spinners and rats who love their superfoods, we're spreading joy to you this holiday season—by way of the things that made us smile this year," the agency says. [kickout id="1"] Deutsch - "Holiday Chill" Instead of sending out a traditional holiday card, Deutsch is giving the gift of relaxation in the form of a new meditation skill for Amazon Alexa, called "Holiday Chill." Created by Deutsch and powered by its AI practice, Great Machine, "Holiday Chill" includes four holiday-themed meditations guided by Jack Frost, as well as soothing winter soundscapes. This skill is available publicly via the Alexa app store, and the agency has been gifting custom-branded Alexa devices pre-programmed with the skill to clients, colleagues and employees. "We encourage our employees to practice meditation and mindfulness; we offer group mediation once a week and have amazing feedback on the value it provides," says Val DiFebo, CEO of Deutsch's New York office. "We created 'Holiday Chill' with the hope that everyone, from clients to employees to friends and family, can take a moment to be mindful and find some inner peace and balance during the most hectic season." [kickout id="2"] DigitasLBi - "Go Dark. Give Light" For its annual holiday card greeting, DigitasLBi is is shutting off all the lights across its six U.S. offices for the last week of 2017, saving energy and money. It will donate the money saved to Light Up Puerto Rico, an organization working to restore power in Puerto Rico, where 40 percent of the population is still without power following Hurricane Maria. The agency is encouraging its staff to do the same over the holidays, and donate the money saved (by powering down) to Hurricane Maria relief efforts. This year's DigitasLBi holiday card was designed by the agency's Young Unicorns, a pilot program started in Boston that gives junior creatives an opportunity to diversify and build their portfolios by taking on projects outside of their daily client workload. Young Unicorns will soon be expanding to other DLBi offices across the U.S. DigitasLBi will follow suit digitally as well: The agency will "go dark" on all social channels and on the website. [kickout id="16"] Hunter Public Relations - "Emoji Holidays" With bitmojis and emojis taking place of text conversation, and the iPhone's introduction of a new set of emojis to play with, Hunter decided to wish friends, families, and co-workers a Happy Holiday in Emoji-English. Through both email and snail mail, we created a custom holiday message, completely "emojified" for recipients to un-code. Play the game online here. i.d.e.a. - "It's a Season" This year, everyone seemed offended by everything. To avoid any controversy, i.d.e.a. released a collection of all the best holiday songs with every religious, spiritual and cultural lyric removed. It’s A Season! is the perfect soundtrack for the office, especially during these sensitive times. [kickout id="7"] imre - "Holiday High Fashion" 2017 gave us many fashion moments like the RompHim™ and the revival of the velour tracksuit. To pay homage to these trends, while simultaneously giving back, imre employees put on their "holiday best" to shoot a high-fashion lookbook to raise awareness for Dress for Success and Career Gear. imre will be making a donation to each organization, and hopes this collection inspires you to do the same. Legacy Marketing - "Origami Shot Glasses" This Chicago agency's card becomes a shot glass when you follow the origami instructions. This is great on its own, but is "all the more relevant due to our expertise in the alcoholic beverage industry," the agency tells us. [kickout id="5"] [kickout id="6"] Liquid Advertising - "Happy Holidays" The video goes all out to show how integrated this ad agency actually is. [kickout id="12"] Radar Studios - "Happy Holidays" This Chicago production house goes for the dark comedy this Christmas. I nice, nasty change of pace from all the jollier stuff. [kickout id="13"] Superheroes - "AI Christmas Choir" Siri, Google Assistant, Alexa and Cortana—normally archrivals—make peace for the holidays by singing, poorly with good intentions, some of your favorite Christmas carols. "Elon Musk might think artificial intelligence-backed robots will one day kill us all, but for now they're just spreading holiday cheer," the agency says. "So grab your hot cocoa, cozy up, and enjoy the Christmas classics as you've never heard them before. If robots can do it, we humans can too! Let's come together in 2018." [kickout id="3"] True North - "Warmest Wishes" This agency in Manchester, England, is addressing the city's homelessness problem this Christmas by partnering with local homeless charity Barnabus to spread a little festive warmth to the people who need it most. They are leaving 100 pairs of yellow-and-white gloves all over the Northern Quarter this Christmas. "If you see a pair, pick them up and hand them to someone in need," the agency says. "It's an invitation offering a helping hand to the homeless and vulnerable to get off the street and back on their feet." [kickout id="14"] Vladimir Jones - "Underdogs Presents" This Colorado agency created a series of Christmas movie reenactments starring shelter dogs that can be adopted. [kickout id="9"] [kickout id="10"] [kickout id="11"] Wunder - "Gift Card" This year-old Halifax, Nova Scotia, agency decided to pranks its clients for the holidays. They gathered up some office items, set up a shop on their website and presented the items as gifts, and sent gift cards to clients, who could redeem them for one of the lame gifts on the site. When they added an item to their cart, they were pleasantly surprised to discover was actually an Amazon gift card, and the unique code on the back allowed them to get any gift they wanted. [kickout id="8"] Zambezi - "Holiday AOR" This is the time of year when most, if not all, ad agencies shut down for a pretty long time, leaving clients holding the shopping bag right smack in the middle of the biggest consumer orgy of the year. But Zambezi will be open for Christmas break, from Dec. 25 through Jan. 1, and it is inviting the public to view "live streaming footage" from office video security cameras. [kickout id="15"]
