The FBI reported that anti-Asian hate crimes rose 73% in 2020, increasing dramatically during the Covid-19 pandemic. Droga5 is working to combat that trend with a pro bono campaign for the Asian American Federation.

The “I’m Really From” campaign plays on the xenophobic question “Where are you really from?” by celebrating the connection the participants have to the American cities where they live. It centers on 10 posters created by Asian and Asian American artists drawing on the stories and memories that 10 Asian Americans shared about their hometown.
