CANNES, France—A credit card that limits spending on carbon emissions won the Grand Prix in the ecommerce category Thursday.

Swedish company Doconomy took home the top prize for its card that tracks the carbon dioxide emissions of purchases and limits users’ spending based on their impact on the climate.

“We really had some unique points of view which helped guide us and help govern,” said jury president Daniel Bonner, global chief creative officer, Wunderman, Global.

The card allowed users to track how much each purchase they made affected the climate.
