John Vitanovec is out as executive vp of broadcasting for Tribune. His exit caps a nearly 25-year run with the company that included a stint as general manager of WGN-TV, the company’s flagship in Chicago.
In a brief statement, Tribune said Vitanovec’s departure was “the latest in a series of changes in Tribune Broadcasting under new broadcasting chief Ed Wilson.” Wilson was named president of Tribune Broadcasting in February.
Vitanovec will be leaving Tribune at the end of the week.
