When it comes to the production of old-fashioned, multicamera sitcoms, the folks at TV Land believe they’ve found their sweet spot. The Viacom-owned cable network has greenlit two new pilots and renewed freshman comedy Retired at 35 for a second season.
The two new pilots are Happily Divorced, from The Nanny’s Fran Drescher, and The Exes, a male-buddy comedy about three divorced men.
Happily Divorced stars Drescher as a Los Angeles florist who discovers her husband (Best in Show’s John Michael Higgins) is gay.
