Just moments after the first traditional presenter during May’s upfront week, NBCUniversal, said that it would be returning to its regular slot this year, the usual concluding presenter, The CW, said it will be sitting out the annual event for marketers.

The CW will not be holding a virtual upfront event to close out the May advertising tradition—in fact, the network won’t be putting on any kind of presentation at all.

Instead, the company will take the same approach as last year, when all upfronts week events were canceled due to the pandemic.
