Telemundo is creating a new business division in its ongoing effort to target Hispanic consumers on new platforms.

NBCUniversal Telemundo Enterprises on Tuesday announced the creation of a Hispanic Streaming business division dedicated to making programming for NBCUniversal streamer Peacock as well as for Telemundo’s and NBCUniversal’s other streaming platforms. Beginning immediately, the unit will be responsible for developing more than 50 projects through 2022.

Romina Rosado, NBCUniversal Telemundo Enterprises’ evp of entertainment and content strategy, will oversee the new unit as evp and general manager of Hispanic streaming.
