Daniel Taitz was named senior vp of business affairs for affiliate relations at Univision Communications.
Taitz was most recently chief administrative officer and general counsel at Oxygen Media, overseeing that company’s business legal affairs, finance and accounting, facilities and broadcast operations departments. Before that, he was a partner at the law firm of Friedman Kaplan Seiler Adelman LLP.
As part of his new role, Taitz will be responsible for negotiations for the distribution of Univision and TeleFutura TV stations and Galavision cable network.
At the same time, Univision promoted two execs to senior vps–Deanna Andaverde and Timothy Spillane, and two execs to vp–Jason Eanes and Gretchen Barnes.
