Four episodes into its freshman run, USA Network’s new spy drama Covert Affairs last night put up its best numbers, drawing 5.33 million total viewers in its 10 p.m. time slot.

Tuesday night’s installment of the Piper Perabo strip outperformed its previous high of 5.21 million viewers (July 20) by 2 percent. More importantly, the show notched its biggest demo deliveries to date, averaging 2.34 million adults 25-54, up 1 percent from the premiere’s 2.3
