The E.W. Scripps Co. renewed its affiliation agreement with the ABC Television Network for its six ABC stations in some of the nation’s top markets representing about 8 percent of U.S. households. The new agreement runs through Jan. 31, 2015.

The deal includes a license fee paid by Scripps to ABC for network programming. Other terms, such as whether or not ABC will get a cut of Scripp’s retransmission fees, an emerging trend in the business, were not disclosed.
