Roku is set to release 23 more Quibi series under its Roku Originals banner, including four shows that never actually aired on the short-lived streamer last year.
All 23 shows—which make up the second wave of Roku Original releases—will be available to stream on the connected TV platform’s in-house AVOD offering The Roku Channel beginning this Friday, Aug. 13.
“I think when Roku first launched original content, some people didn’t really understand the strategic opportunity,” Colin Davis, Roku’s head of scripted programming, told Adweek.
