Even the biggest connected TV player isn’t immune to the larger economic downtrends.
Roku is eliminating 200 jobs—about 5 percent of its workforce—due to “current economic conditions.”
The company declined to comment on exactly where those cuts were being made, but at the end of last year, Roku had about 3,000 employees across 13 countries.
“Due to the current economic conditions in our industry, we have made the difficult decision to reduce Roku’s headcount expenses by a projected 5%, to slow down our OpEx growth rate,” the company said in a statement.
