Is Rupert Murdoch angling to acquire Shine—and ultimately have a family reunion?
According to The Daily Beast, the News Corp. chairman and CEO is in London to deal with his pending acquisition of BSkyB, but is planning to spend part of that visit to close a deal for Shine Group, the production company headed by his daughter Elisabeth Murdoch.
Shine, which is behind hits such as The Biggest Loser, is potentially on the block because of major consolidation in the independent production company world of late.
