Paula Abdul to Host VH1 Divas

Paula Abdul has signed on for her first official gig since leaving American Idol—VH1 Divas, the network’s franchise special honoring female singers. Abdul will assume hosting duties for the show, which airs live on Sept. 17 from New York.

Earlier this month, Abdul announced she was leaving American Idol after contract negotiations collapsed between her and the show’s producers.
