Oprah Finale Soars

She Earns Highest Ratings in 17 Years

Based on the metered market (overnight) numbers from Nielsen Media Research, the series-finale of CBS Television Distribution talk show Oprah rose to a whopping 13.3 household rating on Wednesday.  Comparably, this was its highest-rated single telecast in 17 years (since Feb. 21, 1994).  Note: this number is preliminary and does not include the St. Louis market, which was pre-empted for coverage of storms.
