It makes sense that there was a lot of discussion over the weekend about Ted Koppel’s exchange with Fox News host Sean Hannity in a segment on CBS Sunday Morning. Watching the longtime newsman agree in the affirmative when Hannity asked if Koppel felt that Hannity and all his opinion brethren were “bad for America” was a satisfying TV moment, but it wasn’t the only point of interest in the almost-11-minute segment about political polarization and media contributions towards that.
New York Times executive editor Dean Baquet made an appearance in the segment as well, defending the Times’ Trump coverage as part of a mandate to “ask hard questions.”
