Diversity in American filmmaking has been an ongoing conversation for decades and as multiple studies have shown, we still have a long way to go before the industry reflects true equity. Holding open the door for new filmmakers may turn out to be a major factor when it comes to molding a more inclusive medium.

Created in partnership with Netflix and Adobe, “The Great Untold” is shining a light on the next generation of filmmakers. The initiative is a continuation of Adobe’s Diverse Voices and intends to transform the filmmaking landscape by asking participants to pitch their ideas via TikTok.
